Yesterday

Harper Lee grew up in Monroeville where her father was a lawyer. The courthouse which was perfectly copied for the movie is now a museum.

If you ever find yourself near that part of Alabama, I highly recommend spending a couple of hours there.

Her old house is now an ice cream shack, but you can sit on what is left of the fence between Harper house and the house of Truman Capote's aunts house while you eat your ice cream.
