The movie based on the Les Standiford book was released today. Great book, will have to make time to see the film.

(6,373 posts)It is a good, but perhaps not great, movie. If you know nothing about Dickens or the story of A Christmas Carol (or even little about Victorian England), it may be a bit confusing.
But my family and I enjoyed it, and I can see it becoming a Christmas tradition on television.
(FYI, it's Jonathan Pryce, not Bryce!)
