Three free movies I liked

I watched three free movies on Prime this week which I really liked.

“Serenity” stars Matthew McConaughey as a fishing boat captain living a quiet and sheltered life on Plymouth Island off the coast of Florida. One day, his ex-wife Karen tracks him down with a desperate plea for help. It tells a story which carried me along with it, and I enjoyed the ‘twist’ in the plot, which was unexpected (to me, anyway).

“The Commuter” stars Liam Neeson as an insurance agent. It follows the man who is unwittingly recruited into a murder conspiracy after meeting a mysterious woman while on his daily train commute.

“A Simple Plan” stars Billy Bob Thornton and Bill Paxton.
Hank Mitchell and his pregnant wife Sarah live in rural Minnesota. When Hank, his older, socially challenged brother Jacob, and Jacob's friend Lou Chambers chase a fox into the woods, they stumble upon a crashed airplane. Hank decides to look inside the plane where he discovers a dead pilot and a bag containing $4.4 million in $100 bills.

Although I watched them on Amazon Prime, they may be available on other services.
