One hell of a disturbing fim..

Nevertheless one of the best Dirty Cops vs Crime& brutality movie ever..
Takes place in the Slums of Paris..present day!!

(Les Miserable).... It's all about the hopelessness... Speaks to the truth!! The main characters are a combination of all the great dirty cops flics I've seen... One of the cops newly recruited trying to do the right things is matched up in a police car with 2 disgusting other lawbreaking cops.. The cameras never get out of the slums... It's all about the tenements and the crime..Mostly under 16 yrs of age (kids) Some scenes are hard to watch, but not overdone at all... Forget about seeing any Tourists sites..There ain't none.. Just shot after shot of the slums and the markets which border the tenements... The action stuff is sometimes hard to watch but not overdone.

A Must see.. Has nothing to do with the Victor Hugo Revolution Novel or movie..

Les miserables was set in the time of the French revolution,

Is this a modern era remake of the original?

Sort of a remake... All about the suffering of poverty...Mostly younger kids.. Average age of the kids in this movie about 12-14.. My guess.
