Its about Woodstock 99 and the complete and utter fucking shit show that was? I heard stories. But this shit that happened was deeply disturbing. I turned to my mom and said. All those angry white frat boys turned into MAGAts later in life.

(19,312 posts)White, spoiled, misogynists, angry at the world because people of color demand to be included in what's left of the American dream.
They're not assured of the high paying job just because of their whiteness and connections made in their fraternities. The playing field isn't tilted in their direction now, and they're mad about that.
"Woodstock" 99 was a huge mistake. John Scher got greedy, and overcharged 500,000 kids for everything. Holding the concert on a black topped ex-air force base in August wasn't smart. The surface temperature they were all standing on had to be at least 110 degrees ( probably a lot higher than that) and there weren't any cooling stations to keep people from getting heat stroke.
In short, it was a disaster, and
It turned into The Lord of the Flies to the tenth power.

(10,395 posts)That John Scher guys a piece of shit. Actually blaming women for being raped and assaulted for going topless. Like the fuck dude? This shit scared me because I'm in my 6th month of hormones to transition and I keep thinking to myself. I'm gonna be targeted like these women eventually. It blew my fucking mind to see it all go to shit. And then blaming Fred Durst for inciting it? C'mon that was beyond ridiculous.
All and all. It was a great doc and just made me shake my head because this shit was like a frog in a boiling pot

(19,312 posts)They asked him to try to cool things down a bit, but that wasn't his responsibility. They wanted to bring things to a fever pitch, and they did. They never gave a thought about how to shut it down though. Like I said, it wasnt Durst's responsibility, and I don't know if he could have done anything even if he wanted to. But he certainly didn't want to.

(10,395 posts)The air was so toxic due to the heat and price gouge, no where to go to the bathroom. Fred was playing his part since it was Limp Bizkit and shit I can't tell you how many times I've listened to them since that era and never felt an ounce of anger come out of me. Toxic people created that environment due to the ol frog in the boiling pot theory.
It was poorly organized and planned from the start. And to think they wanted to do it again in 2019 and in our very toxic political environment on top of it
