"Woodstock" 99 was a huge mistake. John Scher got greedy, and overcharged 500,000 kids for everything. Holding the concert on a black topped ex-air force base in August wasn't smart. The surface temperature they were all standing on had to be at least 110 degrees ( probably a lot higher than that) and there weren't any cooling stations to keep people from getting heat stroke.

They asked him to try to cool things down a bit, but that wasn't his responsibility. They wanted to bring things to a fever pitch, and they did. They never gave a thought about how to shut it down though. Like I said, it wasnt Durst's responsibility, and I don't know if he could have done anything even if he wanted to. But he certainly didn't want to.

The air was so toxic due to the heat and price gouge, no where to go to the bathroom. Fred was playing his part since it was Limp Bizkit and shit I can't tell you how many times I've listened to them since that era and never felt an ounce of anger come out of me. Toxic people created that environment due to the ol frog in the boiling pot theory.
