Few days ago watched a movie on TV starring Tom Hanks

Time period was right after the civil war and to make a living he goes from town to town reading
newspapers. Went to IMDB to read up on it (forgot the name) and couldn't find it, anybody know
the name of the movie? Believe it aired on INSP.

soon as I got in the " actor " column there it was. I was wondering if Tom was related to the young girl,
he wasn't. Thanks again everyone.

but in situations like that I'll enter the name of something I know an actor was in, click on their name, click on the blue oval with 3 lines, scroll down to "view all credits," and you get a great chronological list of their work.

I haven't seen the movie, but the book is terrific.
