(5,302 posts)I didn't care much for the 1984 movie, so I watched the new one with low expectations, and was pleasantly surprised how good it was. I plan to catch Part 2 on the big screen, with Dolby.

(9,687 posts)I tuned in when Paul and Lady Jessica were on the run from a Sandworm before meeting up with Stilgar and the Fremen. It was just so condensed and corny. I don't understand the craziness with the Baron. Then Sting appears in a diaper
I guess it was a good reflection of the 80s. Whereas Dune a la Villeneuve is a feast for the eyes and an emotional rollercoaster. Plus the ingenious input of sound and score by the team and Hans Zimmer.
