(106,328 posts)over bottled oxygen? The former cannot reach the higher levels of concentrations that stationary oxygen concentrators can (nor bottled oxygen) and which some (not all) patients need-- thus why I ask. They are great for patients needing moderate supplemental oxygen but not necessarily for those with higher oxygen delivery demands.
If that is not an issue, then first, good on you. You can be far more mobile and that would undoubtedly be a big relief.
As to purchases, many manufacturers have programs to allow for discounted distribution for some in need. Your pulmonologist/respiratory therapist should be able to help with that or refer you to other possible sources of help.
Good luck!

(34,195 posts)A quality concentrator provides an oxygen blood level of 96+, which is excellent.
My home concentrator provides that level.
A cheaper one may provide an oxygen blood level of 58.
So Im hoping to get a good one
anyway I can.
Im also open to suggestions on how to push both my walker and an O2 tank.

Thanks

(34,195 posts)It gets 4.3 out of 5 in reviews and cost $39.
Reviews say it fits a four wheeled walker and holds an E tank.
Thanks for the suggestion!

(106,328 posts)oxygen concentrators. The former can NOT produce the same output as a home unit nor a direct oxygen canister system. That is what you need to double-check. I'd hate to see you pay a lot of money for something that will not meet your needs.

(154,421 posts)A friend was donated one by a friend who passed away. She had it refurbished, and it is better than the tanks. We used to help her with the metal tanks. She had a roller but it was still a pain
