Deion Sanders Hails Kevin Durant's Record-Breaking Olympic Achievement for USA Men's Basketball Team

Another Olympic feather in Team USA’s hat! This time, the NBA phenom, Kevin Wayne Durant, has hit a big win against Puerto Rico in the final game. And guess what? Colorado Buffaloes HC Deion Sanders is gaga over the Phoenix Suns’ player’s outstanding performance on the global platform — so much so that Coach Prime took a moment from the fall camp to give Durant a shoutout. Like Deion keeps track of his performance and basketball, Durant also garners a deep interest in football. He even compares himself to an NFL quarterback.

The Buffs hardly have any time to catch a breath before the 2024 season kicks in! But Deion knows how to squeeze out some time to give due credit to phenoms like Durant. As captured by Well Off Media on August 4, Coach Prime gave an exclusive shoutout to Durant. On August 3, Saturday, in the final matchup of the Group Phase team USA had a massive win over Puerto Rico. Even though the game got off to a hot start with Puerto Rico taking charge of Durant’s team, Team USA soon got back to momentum.

What makes it more special for the Slim Reaper is the fact that he went scoreless in the first quarter. However, in the second half, the NBA star was able to help his team build a lead and accomplished a 104-83 win. He himself scored 11 points and became the all-time leading scorer (483) and rebounder (126) in the men’s basketball team. This was enough to woo Deion who keeps a close eye on basketball. A thrilled Coach Prime started with, “Today I’m doing a tribute to my man KD. I don’t know if he has already accomplished it but he’s about to be the alltime leading scorer for the Olympic team.”

He then continued to shower Durant with compliments, confessing his love for him, “I hope my information is correct but I get you love. I love you regardless, I don’t care if you lead score or not. I love you regardless baby.” Like Deion follows basketball, Durant too is hooked on the NFL and compares himself to a QB.
