Despite the fact that Caitlin Clark is still mid-way through her rookie year, fans can't help but look forward to what's ahead for the Indiana Fever superstar. The buzz has now intensified following a major announcement from Minnesota Lynx All-Star and Unrivaled 3x3 League co-founder Napheesa Collier.
On Friday, Collier dropped a crucial update on the participants of the Unrivaled League, which is set to debut this coming offseason. The Lynx forward fielded questions from fans on X, formerly Twitter, about the league, and one of the responses that stood out centered around the rookies who are going to take part in the tournament.
When asked how many rookies will be joining the league, Collier revealed --using a Snoop Dogg meme -- that they already have four commits "and counting."
Chicago Sky rookie sensation Angel Reese was previously announced as a participant in the league, which had the fans guessing about the other three rookies that have already been signed.
Naturally, this led to supporters believing that Clark was well on her way to Unrivaled, too. "I want CC to maximize her earnings on or off the court whatever that entails," said a fan. "Unrivaled doesnt do that but I love the concept. I want to see European teams bid into the millions. $4 million no Ill pay $5 million 💰! That would be legendary!"

(3,101 posts)seems an odd thing for a Caitlin Clark fan to be so excited about, though I guess in this day and age it is probably as important as wins and losses to many.
I would guess Ms. Clark is already pretty much set for life, though I understand her current WNBA salary is relatively minimal. But the fan in question needn't worry, I would not think, about her bottom line.

On the other hand, it IS always nice to see a female athlete with her level of economic power.
