Will Valkyries keep up in WNBA's training-facility arms race? Players are watching

The Golden State Valkyries won’t own their arena or practice facility, but are getting space carved out in each. At Chase Center, which the Valkyries will share with the NBA’s Golden State Warriors, there will be designated WNBA locker rooms for the Valkyries and visitors....

Along with the new Phoenix facility, the other NBA-owned clubs — Indiana, Washington and Minnesota — share practice homes with their respective men’s teams, but those are shared spaces, whereas the Warriors now practice at Chase Center, leaving the Oakland facility exclusively to the Valkyries.

It will feature 2 1/2 NBA-size practice courts. It’s also where the front office will be based. Since the Warriors left for San Francisco in 2019, it has been used for Warriors’ youth basketball camps.

The main practice court and majority of surrounding spaces such as the weight room and locker rooms will be designed in Valkyries logos and colors. They will be one of six teams to play in an NBA arena.
