On Friday night, Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever will battle Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky for the fourth and final time of the 2024 WNBA season.
The Fever took the first two battles, but the Sky won the most recent. Two of the three games have been decided by one point.
With the intensity of the rivalry between Clark and Reese, the tight games between Indiana and Chicago this year, and the playoff race, demand for tickets is very high.
According to TickPick, the average price for a ticket is $334, which would be the most expensive WNBA game on record.
The ticket price surpassed the Fever and Sky's matchup in June, which set the previous WNBA record of a $287 average ticket price. Friday's game is also 159% more expensive than the average Sky home game ($129).

(13,503 posts)Clark is the best thing to happen to the WNBA since the NBA decided to fund it.
Every time her team plays the Atlanta Dream, they move their game to State Farm arena because of ticket demand.

(18,433 posts)The only thing that bothers me is that both players are making between 50-75K a year.

(13,503 posts)Thats why the average NBA player makes million; revenue.
But her endorsements are MANY millions.
I've always thought the WNBA product was better basketball anyway. In the NBA of today you can practically jog 5 steps up to the basket & never be called for it.
Maybe all these new eyes on the WNBA will make things better in the future.
