But I think the WNBA probably needs to have their Player Safety moment, and consider things like disallowing long fingernails. This seems very risky.

It doesn't look like a typical swiping action of a block attempt.
Intentional or not, how could a foul not be called. She made contact with her face, long after the pass was gone.

And the WNBA, that nobody had even heard of, stood by and watched all . . . season . . . long.

Clark was literally bulldozed on many occasions, and fouls usually weren't even called. If the same acts had occurred on the sidewalk, the perpetrators would have been guilty of assault and battery.

The WNBA desperately needs Caitlin Clark. Clark does not need the WNBA.

But Clark, at 22 years old, showed incredible maturity and grace in taking the best shots the WNBA thugs could come up with and never backed down or made excuses. She just kept playing basketball.

I hate the WNBA's racist, thug style, but I love Caitlin Clark's basketball skill, so I tolerate the former so I can continue to appreciate the latter.

The WNBA needs to follow. It's not fun basketball to watch.
