Angel Reese, Kamilla Cardoso named to 2024 WNBA All-Rookie Team

CHICAGO (Oct. 3, 2024) — Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese and center Kamilla Cardoso have both been named to the 2024 WNBA All-Rookie Team, the league announced today.

This marks the first time in franchise history when two rookies have been named to the All-Rookie team in the same year. Joining the two in All-Rookie honors are Indiana’s Caitlin Clark, Los Angeles’s Rickea Jackson and New York’s Leonie Fiebich.

Reese and Cardoso were also named to the Associated Press 2024 All-Rookie Team.

In this year’s 2024 WNBA Draft, the Sky selected Cardoso as the No. 3 overall pick and Reese as the No. 7 overall pick, securing two first round draft picks since 2018.

And, she knows how to box put. That's why she's such a good rebounder.
Cardoso has a good post game. Her FG% was over 50.
I think they deserve the honor, but I think it's worth noting that The Sky had the same record as last year.
So, they're play didn't elevate the team much, compared to what they already had.
By contrast, Clark's team, The Fever, was the 2nd worst team in the league in '23, but made the playoffs this year.
The Sky has a way to go.
