Milwaukee Bucks ownership group submits bid for WNBA expansion team. It's among several proposals
Basketball fans might get another team to follow as the Milwaukee Bucks ownership group has submitted a proposal for a new WNBA franchise, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has confirmed.
Team officials didn't elaborate on the bid.
The Sports Business Journal first reported the Bucks owners hope to bring an expansion WNBA team to Milwaukee.
The WNBA also is considering proposals from Philadelphia, Austin, Kansas City, Miami, central Florida, Nashville, Charlotte, Denver and potentially Cleveland.
There is no timeline for a decision, the Sports Business Journal reported.
