I like the words of Martin O'Malley today.
"I believe that we are best as a party when we lead with our principles, not according to polls"Wouldn't that be great?

OP
He is right. It worked in the mid terms. Those who ran on a Progressive message held their seats.

Local candidates who ran on a Progressive message, won their seats.
Those who did not, lost.
It isn't hard to understand.
People 'get' when someone is sincere because they do not hesitate to answer questions directly, like Warren eg.
But you can tell when someone isn't speaking for themselves but trying to avoid answering a question or speaking for someone else. There is just something lacking in their demeanor.

(62,325 posts)2. I just read in GD his statements on many of the issues. SS eg, he wants to expand it, not cut or
Privatize it. On the TPP, he opposes it. On Immigration and Gay Marriage, he has long supported both issues.
So far, I am encouraged by his possible candidacy.

there's the rub. The party leadership doesn't have any principles.
