(ME TOO)
The U.S. legal cannabis market has witnessed significant shifts in 2023. Factors like potency, taste and premium packaging are now driving consumer choices, with a particular preference for the nuanced flavors of solventless products like live rosin, explains BDSA analyst Brendan Mitchel-Chesebro.
He notes a decrease in the cannabis extracts segment to just 6% of total cannabis sales, down from over 10% previously. Meanwhile, solventless product sales within this category rose from 14% in Q2 2022 to 18% in Q3 2023, with rosin dominating 84% of this segment.
Infused Pre-Rolls And Pricing Trends
Infused pre-rolls have seen a 63% increase in average retail price compared to non-infused ones, reflecting the added value and costs of concentrates.
Despite industry-wide price compression, infused pre-rolls maintain their premium pricing, indicating a market trend towards high-quality, specialized products.
Specifically, rosin disposables grew by 86% and live resin disposables, by 24%. Rosin disposables are priced 25% higher on average than the overall disposables category, signaling a shift towards premium offerings as well.
Demand For Minor Cannabinoid-Infused Edibles
Minor cannabinoids such as CBN and CBG are gaining traction in the edibles market. These products command higher prices than THC or CBD-only edibles due to their consistent, targeted effects like aiding sleep or pain relief. BDSA predicts continued growth and innovation, particularly in the hemp-derived cannabinoid market, in 2024.

(34,068 posts)some gummies for sleep. As a new customer, I got 4 free infused pre-rolled.
Very strong.

(15,109 posts)and they sold me this stuff that was 5:1:1, meaning it had 12.5mg CBD, 2.5mg THC and 2.5mg CBN.
I did not like it because it came in a little tiny bottle that was massively overpriced, and CBN acts to suppress dreams. Since my spiritual practice requires dreaming and lucid dreaming, this product was useless for me.
Too many beancounters wanting to boost profits for shareholders. It is going corporate and that isn't particularly a good thing.

(27,514 posts)but I consider them an uneconomical choice. I wont turn down a freebie, but there are better ways to enjoy without the open-air dumpster fire that is the infused joint. I take a pinch of flower no bigger than a match head, break it up into a one-hit bowl, add a minuscule amount of concentrate., and consume it all in one long hit.

(9,586 posts)They are from full spectrum hemp, Ive bought 2 kinds. One is a 50 mg CBD + 2 mg THC. To my surprise one of those gummies got me as stoned as if I had smoked regular pot. I wasnt really looking to get that high so I backed off to their 25 mg gummy with about .9 mg THC and some extra ingredients added to relieve anxiety. That one gives a nice laid back feeling without the stronger high, so I can still function and helps pretty well with the pain management too. Theyve become a daily go to for me.
I dont really want to continuously draw smoke into my lungs at my age and if I want that kind of high I can simply eat one of the stronger gummies and am good for the evening. I literally cant tell any difference in the high except it takes longer to hit since you eat it instead of smoking it.

(4,500 posts)I can't even drive around town in DC and MD with my windows rolled down (or my heat/AC on the "fresh/outside" air setting.)
It's nauseating. Seriously. After standing in line at Subway behind someone had such a strong and obnoxious smell of weed... I wondered if he was smoking in line. No, he just smelled bad. --- I had to discard my Covid mask when I returned to my car, because it had become permeated with the skunky-shitty smell of weed.
Is that the "good stuff" or the "cheap stuff" that I'm smelling? Can people NOT smell themselves?

(42,714 posts)If its a high quality it shouldnt. People also grow their own and sometimes the quality is not as good.

Some strains have a stronger smell. Most people love when their pot has a nice smell - its sometimes fresher.
Its good to keep your weed in a glass jar with a humidity level of 50 to 65%- that way your trichomes dont degrade and your pot will be more aromatic. You can buy mini hygrometers on Amazon - 6 for $10.

(1,409 posts)This stuff changed my life. Two to three doses a day takes care of chronic pain from pancreatitis and alleviates severe PTSD. Beats the hell out of the opiods and surgical options the doctors push.

(4,895 posts)with a sativa RSO syringe. It's good for mood. It's good for pain. And it puts the recreation into recreational pot. Most tinctures last me maybe 4 - 6 hours. A tiny amount of this stuff smaller than a grain of rice lasts a good 10 - 12 hours.

(3,213 posts)I bought some gelatin capsules at the pharmacy, squirted my desired dose in and made some caplets. I prefer 20-25mg so each vial of RSO gives me 9-10 doses.

(18,282 posts)..'bargain basement' as I empty it into a pipe anyway. And I love the concentrates..the disposable pens are great and I keep them by my bedside to help with leg cramps.
Also I have a Levo oil infuser so I keep pot infused coconut oil around to cook with.

(3,213 posts)The one I like best is an indica sugar. A matchstick head size piece in my Pax's oven and I am no longer stiff and I don't ache. I sure hope our 420 ballot proposal makes it to Nov.
