Related: About this forumBrownie recipe for coco-canna oil
I'm making my first batch of infused coconut oil in my new Magical Butter Machine.
After I'm done I'll use this oil to bake brownies.
Can I just use a good organic brownie mix or does anyone have a good recipe from scratch?
I'm leaning towards the mix for simplicity.

(28,136 posts)Last night...decarbed about 36 grams of unmanicured stinky bud in oven at 240 for 1 hour. Mixed it with a little over 2 cups coconut oil and a heaping tablespoon of sunflower lecithin. Ran the whole mix in the MB2e for 1 hr at 190 and 1 hr at 160. Poured it all into a container and froze it overnight. This morning I'm now running 2 hrs at 160. Should be ready to strain soon. (15,429 posts)The cleanest taste always comes from the kif. Dry Ice extraction with sifting bags is the best method of separation. Always freeze the herb before using the dry ice in the bags, it speeds up the process and produces the finest product for infusion. Some will start with a 45 micron bag of 45 microns in the screen for the best sift, then move on to a 73 micron and finally a 90 micron for lower grades.
I find it is all in the strain. A truly superb Sativa running at about 16 or more weeks of flowering will usually produce the most uplifting kif at either the 25 micron or the 45 micron level while a heavy indica produces best at 73 microns.
It's all about the trichomes since most of the head is a wax, very similar to your coconut oil, containing the cannabinoids and the terpenes. The sift only removes the trichomes and when you use just the kif, you get rid of any of the chlorphyl while preserving most of the terpene signature and al of the cannabinoids of your cannabis.

(28,136 posts)I'm just starting. Staying basic for now. Decarbing about 32 grams for 2 cups of coconut oil with added tablespoons of sunflower lecithin.
