Cannabis
Related: About this forumSo I was talking to some customers
who had recently been to Colorado. They told me that marijuana is not legal in all parts of Colorado. Seems it is not legal on federal land, and there is a whole helluva lot of federal land in Colorado. They got pulled over, had their marijuana confiscated and got to pay a 200 dollar fine. So they decided to see if it was just them and, nope seems the officers stake out and pull people over as soon as they hit federal land. They have a nice little scheme to make more money. Anybody else heard of this happening?

At least 27,700 people have been cited since 2009 for having weed on federal lands. The busts illustrate the rift between federal drug laws and legislation in Washington and Colorado that legalizes marijuana.

(17,156 posts)Got a National Park, National Forest, and BLM land all around me, and I haven't noticed any increased enforcement activity. Most of the time when I am in the forest or on BLM land, I don't even see a Fed. I wouldn't smoke a spliff while I was going through the park gate, but it's not like they are setting up checkpoints and tossing people's vehicles left and right. Maybe they have more spare time on the Front Range, or your customers did something stupid to draw attention to themselves.
