Why Is It So Hard To Test Whether Drivers Are Stoned?

Here's a fairly in-depth article that details why testing for cannabis intoxication is not simple and in my opinion is very unfair.

Some of this article I thought was a bit over the top but there are some good points in it. They could have left out the Cheech and Chong clip and the "28 days" seems unreal to me.

apples are in the basket" would work. If it took more that 15 seconds they are stoned, the longer the response took they higher they are. If the officer has to repeat the question several times, I think the driver should be ticketed as "toasted".

Pot can still be in your blood test, yes blood tests are given. Any trace is automatically guilty. You get a DUI.

Anyone caught with pot in their Car gets a DUI. It's a money making scheme sine u get jail time plus a years probation which is costly plus 40-80 hours of community service which is costly, months of drug classes which are costly, drug testing- costly. Then eventually many violate probation either by smoking or drinking or even getting pulled over and then you do your full jail term, lose your job etc

It's a big crock to keep the jails filled and bring in cash.
