Also in California's Proposition 64

Is a provision legalizing cannabis hemp.

We like to talk about the net gains in tax revenue that legalizing recreational cannabis will bring but eventually hemp will surpass it by many times over.

When farms can grow it in tonnage amounts for food, fuel, fiber, building material, etc...and industry springs up to process these usages we will see a green type revolution this country.

Thanks to globalization and off shoring labor and equipment, there won't be anywhere to process the plants to turn them into fibre or oil. A problem in Oregon. What few plants (manufacturing facilities) there are in the US, few are in CA, the start up costs are astronomical and most are dedicated to other fibers or oil processing.

That industry is decades, perhaps fifty or more years away. And probably never with the regulatory situations, and high cost of labor in the US. 03rhaps the farmers will ship the raw materials overseas for processing, which is how we do everything nowadays, but a farm to gas tank or clothing economy based in the US won't happen.
