but there was ‘no good evidence’ from clinical trials to prove it was safe and effective."

So apparently there are clinical trials, just no good evidence? Does that even make sense?

Here's an idea Cancer Research UK, START A CLINICAL TRIAL with the sole intent of GATHERING GOOD EVIDENCE. Do it today. People are in dire need of this research, quit complaining and deflecting and do your job!

4. Why?

I find it truly believable. I have not just heard about but have met patients who are Cancer Free after being given months to live....they swear it is because of cannabis oil. These folks don't know each other. Just because it's anecdotal evidence doesn't mean it isn't true.
THC is why. When it "sees" cancer cells it attacks them, depriving them of oxygen rich blood..the cancer cells begin to die off. Programmed cell death/Apoptosis.

Desires to take it on there own.

Incidentally, there is some evidence that it may be effective

7. Okay, let's break it down

A cancer patient claims to have been cured by cannabis.

Has his "cure" be verified by doctors? I don't see that in the story, so how do we know his "claim" is true.

‘I felt like the chemo was killing me and I had nothing to lose. I could not really accept I was going to die.’

He had underwent gruelling sessions of chemotherapy and radiotherapy before having surgery to remove his large bowel in March 2013, which were all unsuccessful.

So, he underwent traditional treatments of chemo and surgery, seems to me far more likely that his remission is thanks to that as opposed to thanks to marijuana.

Now, I am very much in favor of more medical research into cannabis, and favor its treatment for chemo patients, but I draw the line at vague claims in tabloid papers.

As to your links:

The active ingredient in marijuana cuts tumor growth in common lung cancer in half and significantly reduces the ability of the cancer to spread, say researchers at Harvard University who tested the chemical in both lab and mouse studies.

Mr. Hibbit was suffering from a cancer of the bowel, not lung cancer based on what the story said.

A British researcher has found that cannabinoids, a term for chemicals derived from marijuana, can kill leukemia cells, and he expects clinical trials for new medications to begin soon.

Again, wrong cancer.

Your last link was to Natural Society, a site of highly questionable scientific reliability that considers Dr. Oz and expert and supports anti-vaccination views.

And no, no physician that I know of at this juncture can conclusively state it was Cannabis that caused their patients suffering terminal cancer to survive and be pronounced cancer free....but these claims are not without evidence, either.

I think it's helping me to thrive despite regular, heavy chemo (ACT) since December. My last treatment is this week. I haven't needed ANY additional medicine for pain or nausea, and I've been able to exercise to keep my strength up. If it contributes any anti-cancer effects at all, so much the better.
