My best friend's wife- just diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor

They have decided on chemotherapy. There is a study that shows how cannabinoids in conjunction with chemo has improved results over just chemo, so that is how they wish to proceed. But here's the trouble- even though they live in Washington, where cannabis is legal, they can't get it in their county. I was talking with him yesterday where he was lamenting the republican, choleric politicians in his county who are adamant about keeping the evil cannabis out of their county. So even though they live just minutes from Portland, they are having to drive to Seattle in order to get a few clones to grow.

And then it gets even worse. Since he lives in a conservative neighborhood, and he has a government job, he is not only concerned about the Feds arresting him for having plants, but he is concerned he might lose his job if that were to happen. So he's worried about having a nine year old boy, possibly without a mother, and a father in jail. Nice.

I'm writing this to paint the picture that even though it may be decriminalized under some circumstances in some states, the fed is still a looming threat, and so are some forces who want to keep it out of their communities.

So legal, but maybe not much of an improvement for some.

For his wife with a brain tumor.

Which is not to say a lot of stupid shit doesnt go down under the auspices of the drug war, but I couldnt imagine a worse piece of PR for an organization that has tried awfully hard to convinve the public "we dont spend your tax dollars kicking down the doors of sick people who just want to ease chemo nausea in their own homes... At least, not as much as we used to"

That said, your friend is right to be careful and wary, of course.

Add to that a 2-5 day fast. Some studies have shown that short term fasting, for a day or two a week can also improve chemo.

try googling "fasting and cancer treatment"

I doubt someone would need to drive all the way to Seattle from the Oregon border to find one. Also, some of the medical pot stores deliver. Probably should buy it instead of grow it if possible.

I also learned that juicing isn't nearly as effective as the high concentrations of the produced products, even though they aren't fresh plants.

We'll see.

Over the past few years, research has revealed that marijuana can both destroy certain cancer cells and reduce the growth of others. Now, a new study in mice has found that when combined with radiation treatment, cannabis can effectively shrink one of the most aggressive types of brain tumors.
