Do you ever just kill a weekend getting high?

I did this weekend, it was raining so I basically got stoned all weekend, surfed, ordered delivery and smoked Gorilla Glue, it was beautiful.

But I've never had the chance.

I keep my cannabis use a secret from my wife. The only way to do a whole weekend would be for one of us to be out of town the whole time. The opportunity hasn't come up yet.

I get drunk. My wife doesn't mind that much if I get a little sozzled on a Friday Night after a busy week. I pound water before going to bed, to avoid or reduce the hangover.

A light cocktail of the two tends to untwist my mind when it's all knotted up. We live out in the boonies, so it's easy to indulge, then just wander around our little ranch taking in the critters, flowers, trees, nature in general!

I was at an orthopedic appointment yesterday for my recent shoulder dislocation (NOT high! 😉 loading up for a 10 mile cross-country ski loop when a piece of lath reached out and downed me on the concrete slab in our garage!). There were extra MAs in the room in training, observing. When it came to the part about “Do you use drugs?" (Seriously? MJ still considered a "drug"?) I got to answer "YES" without reservation, since it's been legal here in Washington for several years now!

Room got real quiet. Can only imagine what they were thinking as this professional-looking (in my work clothes - on my way to work in the Court system) 64 year old woman copped to using the herb! If they are savvy at all they will intuit I've been using it since the 1960s - the beginning of my life as a HIPPIE! Which I am to this day.

Next time I'm asked I think I'll say, "not only yes, but HELL YES!“. 😅😅

the fact I have NO cannabis to do. And if I did I’d have to keep it a closely guarded secret. Where I live the cannabis stigma is very much alive, well & thriving. 😕🥺😩

I could never get into it. It never made me relaxed or calm. All it ever did was make me anxious and foggy. I tried different strains but it didnt matter. I was very jealous of people who had positive experiences.

“Get what you get” strain. Sometimes it’s a really good version, sometimes only “so, so” and sometimes it’s absolute garbage! 😡

extremely helpful to me with my anxiety. I've tried prescription meds, but I don't see the sense.

I struggled for years with the" immorality" of it as an adult and mother (some good articles on that, by the way). We did hide it from our daughter till she was almost through with college.

But we lead productive, active lives, and I refuse any longer to feel bad about it.

Just a fortunate coincidence I live in one of the first states to legalize it - Washington!

Not only did it rain but hubby is a runner with a knee injury. He was in a pissy mood and I was tired of hearing it. I holed up in my sewing room with metal blasting in the headphones and Jack Herrer in the bowl. I was totally wasted but the weekend wasn't. We now have a new bedspread with matching curtains in the guest room.

much more creative. I believe it depends on whether you use sativa or indica. One is more energizing, the other more zoning out.

I'm the creative one, he is the one that gets things done with brute force. Example - he just cut down 2 rotted trees then cleared and plowed section for a herb garden. Now it's up to be to plant the herbs and take care of them. We are a good team.

He LOVES this stuff! I do too, but I like a little more balance...with culture and cities and stuff like that sometimes! I can bring him along and he enjoys it, fortunately for him. 'Cause otherwise - it'd be all over! But he can take or leave the socializing. I hate being social secretary for our family; I'm not that good at it!

While my state does have medical at this time I cannot afford the $250 drs fee. I also have a young teen son. Add to that my pcp is not down with medical cannabis. It’s an “either or” thing with him. While I do live in a Blue state I also live in the reddest part of the state, Maryland’s eastern shore. Only 3 recommending drs, so far, and four despensaries on the shore. They don’t make it easy! Her views on medical cannabis is, to her way of thinking, “an excuse to smoke dope.” My wife’s views I should’ve said.
