I thought I should document my progress on this grow because I can't find anything
similar anywhere else. I see a few pics, but nobody has documented the whole flowering
cycle of this type of clone.
I found one description of this as a type of monster cropping: clones take during
flowering stage, reveged, grown out till starts growing five or more leaves, than clone again
to get the final clone, or grow out the first stage.
But, my two clones have veged for almost two months and have kept three leaves throughout all new
growth. They both have started to flower, taking off in two days to what is shown in the pics.
The day length here now is 15 hours, 50 minutes so I am not sure why they have gone to flower.
They have spent the entire time outdoors since repotted, just short of two months ago.
The first two pics are just after repotting.

(33,643 posts)early for flowers to be coming in, as in your last shot. I mean we're just past solstice ... my eyeballing and vague recollection of the process tells me it's at least a month early for that, if not more.
But then again, maybe getting a headstart like that will turn out to be a good thing

(3,988 posts)I guess this is a common thing, taking clones during flowering stage, reveging and grows
very bushy. I did it by accident, the clones were taken two days before the flowers showed up.
Monster cropping is usually done 3rd or 4th week of flower. Mine was done in the first few days.
My theory is: the mother plant was in flower, probably about a week but just not showing yet
so when the cuttings were taken, the flowering hormones were already present.
Knowing this, I am trying a third generation. I just took 3 clones of this current crop and will
do the same with those if they take.
I am hoping they will grow enough vegetation to put outside with the others before fall.

(18,282 posts)...very few buds and scrawny. I always though they were hermaphrodites or some kind of mutation. Both were out door grows. I have a hydro system now and havent had these pop up.

Monster cropping is relatively new, at least what is documented. Lots of bad info out there.
The first round probably wouldn't have made it anyway, I had cut off all of the buds (some of the bogus
info I found) you should cut off all the lower buds but leave the top one. The other leaves are cut
back to slow transpiration, loss of moisture from leaves. I did that this round and probably need to cut the
leaves back some more on two of them.
Started another round, 3 more clones started July 13th.

(9,272 posts)Your plants might have been stressed in some way. Maybe cropping a little to early. Buds should still be good - give your plants some good plant food like Roots Organics.

These two plants have kept 3 leaves all the way through flower. As you can see,
buds are stacking nicely.
