CBD oil vs CBD tincture - does one outweigh the other?

I've used the oil for several months, now, buying it from a local natural health product store. I found a reliable source, on line, that gives veterans a discount but they sell the tincture, not the oil.

So I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced any differences between the two forms of CBD.

I've massaged CBD oil on areas of my body for pain relief. I've taken CBD tincture for pain relief. In my experience, the tincture worked better for me.

However, in the past year my left knee has started acting up and after an MRI the doctor said I have a small amount of arthritis under the kneecap. I just read an explanation that anything applied to the skin is not going to be quite effective as something taken internally; i.e., tincture or edibles.

I'd be curious to know your experience with the oil. I'm going to give it a try, but like you I'll buy it at a natural health products store.

I went into this whole CBD experience with a whole lot of skepticism so I'm convinced my results are not a placebo effect.

I take the tincture the same way and it seems to be holding them off, also, and I'm finding it's a little more helpful with my insomnia. The taste is definitely more profound than with the oil, but the aftertaste doesn't last too long.

Probably a raise in the THC level would help, even more, with the insomnia. Hopefully Michigan will get their licensing 'issues' ironed out so that our shops can start to open, next year. I'll be first in line for some quality edibles.

My first thought was that I'd prefer edibles also (remember pot brownies from the 70's?). I don't have trouble with anxiety or insomnia, but I get depressed when my achy knee keeps me from doing the things I love.

I mix it with some ginger, black pepper, and any other spices that I have on hand, along with coconut oil and mix it into coconut milk for a lovely 'Golden Milk' drink. You can find lots of recipes on line.

I also take tumeric capsules. I am convinced this habit is what made my bout of shingles a less than horrific experience. I still had a rash and some blisters, and was certainly uncomfortable, but I got through it relatively fast, without all of the pain and deep discomfort I've heard others experience.

My oldest sister is just getting over a bout with shingles. She's 78 and got the two shingles vaccinations. Apparently you can still get shingles even after getting vaccinated, but it's supposed to be milder.

I'm going to try your golden milk drink.

I get a great veteran's discount and free 3 day shipping on the tincture, and other products, from one source, but they don't offer the oil.

There are several very reputable places, close by, that offer much smaller discounts (either veteran's or senior citizen) and have the oil. One place that just opened is strictly a CBD shop - nothing else - so I'm stopping by there on Friday with some questions.
