Currently I am paying 30% is San Diego. It has increased at least three times in two years. This will make people go buy it illegally. Bad idea CA! They are now being too greedy and it will backfire on the state and hurt the industry as well as those who need it for medical reasons.

But, they spring up again! They have these bizarre life cycles.

(52,208 posts)a city, county and state tax. They close down shops around here all the time too. As soon as I find one it is gone in 6 months. The mega dispensaries make the big bucks. There are many senior citizens in those lines.

(2,410 posts)Maybe worth a trip over the county line for you?

(2,253 posts)The dispensary is known for special bells and whistles: a branded bus called the CannaCruiser that takes customers from other neighborhoods in San Diego, like Ocean Beach, to the dispensary; daily deals for residents of San Diego County and Tijuana as well as medical patients and a 5% cash back rewards program for frequent customers.

(52,208 posts)opened and their prices were cheaper. They both add the same taxes though and that means a big increase Jan. 1st, so stock up now. The Reader has a 10% discount coupon but that doesn't help much with a huge added tax.

(10,688 posts)You can now only legally buy eatables containing 100mg per package. Each serving can be no more than 10mg.
Want to open a production bakery? You will need to be rich - you must rent the space while getting permits that take up to a year to get and cost 100k. Then if you want to sell it there are even more hurdles and permits. La Jolla has us all by the balls. Four dispensarys per council area before they expand - something La Jolla wont ever do.

(21,044 posts)I went to the dispensary that used to give me a discount if I had an up-to-date 215 card.
Yesterday they told me I no longer get a discount nor do others with fatal diagnoses such as cancer, AIDS, etc.
They claimed they sent me a letter and telephoned me back in October. They did no such thing!
I purchased one eighth and left.
They said that they were not making enough money.
They used the disabled (people like me) to push their agenda towards legalization and they have left us behind.
I am pretty disgusted to say the least and no, I won't be going back there any more.
They were trying to sell me costly things I simply cannot afford.
Who living on next to nothing can pop out over $500/mo.+++ for tinctures, edibles, CBD, etc.?
Not me, that is for sure.
I was used and used badly.
Shame on you greedy dispensaries!

(21,044 posts)Most of the people that are in the fatal DX category will likely not live to see 65!
This is so disgusting!
I'm now looking into finding medicine for my husband who is almost blind from glaucoma and macular degeneration. He is also a vet. There may be hope for him but as for me, I'm SOL!
I'm pissed as I've wasted a lot of time, energy and money playing their stupid little games. Also, where did all of that "confidential" information re: my finances and specific health information go anyway?
Now where is that person I used to get a decent oz. from for $150?
That was a lot cheaper than this $60 for 1/8th B.S.! As for they cannot afford it, well they can afford $5K tattoos, $5K pure-bred animals, etc. It plain sickens me!
And oh yeah, ADOPT DON'T SHOP!
