i'm a mmj user, tho a long time toker. but i have asthma, and smoking straight weed makes me cough. for some reason, mixing it w tobacco helps a lot. which is how i started smoking cigarettes.
been trying to quit tobacco, but having something to smooth the weed, which i smoke more if i'm not smoking cigs, and yeah.
gonna try a little dried mint, which i have smoked in the past, and enjoyed.
but wondered if anyone else has any good ideas.
anyone else dealing w throat issues and coughing?
vape isnt much better, btw. at least for the first several tokes i cough, tho after that it falls off.

(71,921 posts)they dont work that well for me. i do have someone who makes custom for me, so i can get a dose that works. but that oral fixation thing is a thing.
i actually love smoking, and dont really want to quit.
it is the method that works the best for me.

(52,344 posts)Some brands are better than others, I have found this to be the case for myself. The stuff that is sold cheap and is questionable (ingredients, origin, etc.) makes some people cough more. "Select" is what I prefer.

(1,537 posts)Are you using a pen vape?
i did wonder about the diff temp settings. they make me a little crazy w their- click 5 times in half a second till the light turn green.
i would invest in a better one if it made a diff.

(1,537 posts)I suggest a tabletop vape for home use (I only medicate at home). Pen vapes are way too harsh for me too. I have an Arizer Extreme Q, new one is about $160 but I'm sure you can find something that does the same thing and is less expensive, or look on eBay for second hand. Very smooth.
All of the pen vapes I've tried were crazy harsh. Air vape is the way to go.

(26,327 posts)My dispensary sells a 1:1 Pre-98. Its a nice, soothing Indica (ACDC and Harlequin are Sativas, if that makes a difference to you). Very smooth.
I like them both alot, but the ACDC can give me the sativa-paranoids.
If you check on Leafly, make sure that you are looking for the 1:1 as Pre-98 is also available in high THC.

(26,327 posts)If I'm stressed, the ACDC can give me the sativa-paranoids, but for normal use, its a great tasting 1:1.
