Related: About this forumThe gummies and Pink Kush vape is starting to turn the tide on my insomnia battle
I cut the gummies in half, which still seems to work. Takes about 90 minutes.
Oddly, I discovered that vaping the Kush also takes more time than I thought it would, before I feel any 'balming' effect. Perhaps because I'm still learning how to use it. The first time I didn't check the 'draw gauge' on the pipe - it was set pretty damn high. WHOO!!!! The second night I reset it but wasn't feeling like I was getting any relief, although I did finally fall asleep on the couch. I think I was skittish from my first experience and didn't really take in enough. So, last night I decided to use the vape about an hour, or so, before I planned on heading upstairs, take in a little more, relax, gauge the effect and be patient. That seemed to do the trick. It is great to actually feel rested, when I wake up.
I think that cartridge is going to last for a while, since I'm only using it for sleep, and alternating with the gummies. I am sure I will get the hang of the whole vaping thing. Hopefully they will add THC tincture and/or RSO to the recreational sales, soon.

(22,974 posts)A sativa strain can actually perk you up, like drinking a strong cup of coffee. Some hybrids will also "lean" to sativa in effects.

(27,290 posts)At least that's what the told me. The gummies - well, I'm not sure but what ever they contain seems to work. Even if I wake up, in the middle of the night, I can now fall back to sleep.

(52,259 posts)I killed about 4 vape batteries and still am learning through trial and error. Don't overcharge your battery or you will kill it. The people at my local dispensary said 20 minutes should do the trick to charge it and do not rely on the red/green light. Also, if it is cold outside the stuff will get too thick to take a hit so you can warm it up with a battery that has a "warmer" built in. I always ask them for any variety that has Indica THC over 95%. I need to sleep and nothing helps as much as this. It takes about 20 min to feel the full effect. Also, compare prices. Some dispensaries sell cartridges that are really cheap. Those are impure cartridges and have crap added to them sometimes (I learned this from Weedmaps reviews).

(27,290 posts)Since I'm only using it for sleep, I don't mind splashing out for high quality cartridges. I know the place I went to (so far one of only 3 "recreational" shops in the Flint area) gets very good reviews. A friend of mine has been getting his medical cannabis there, for years, and he highly recommends them. And, I asked a LOT of questions.
The medical shops that have branched into recreational sales, and have been around for a while, are the only places I'll ever consider.

(52,259 posts)I was paying 15% tax, then it increased, increased again and finally in Jan it went up to 50% overall tax on all products sold in San Diego (city, county and state taxes). People are cutting back or buying cheap and possibly dangerous products since it is way too money much now. I bought a 2 month supply before the Jan increase.

(27,290 posts)There are a few places, around here, where I can get some good information. And, no doubt, great informational sources available on DU, too.
