http://thepoliticalorder.com/new-harvard-study-just-shattered-biggest-myth-bernie-supporters/I will be so glad when this false propaganda meme of the Bernie Bro is permanently retired. It was false then, false now and here's some proof.
Despite a stream of propaganda from Democratic establishment leaders, a new poll finds that Bernie Sanders popularity extends to minorities and women.
During the 2016 Democratic presidential primary contest, the Bernie Bro trope became a tried-and-true myth propagated by people at the highest levels of the national Democratic Party apparatus. The pejorative first used in late 2015 used to describe Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) most ardent supporters typically refers to young white men between the ages of 25 and 35 who were vociferous in both their support of the Vermont senator and their opposition to eventual Democratic nominee and failed general election candidate Hillary Clinton.

However, a new survey conducted by Harvard University and The Harris Poll disproves all of those comments about the Sanders coalition with hard numbers. According to the survey results, which were conducted among 2,027 registered voters between April 14 and April 17, 2017, Sanders is actually more popular among women, African Americans, Hispanics, and Asian Americans than white people and men.

(2,872 posts)how strong propaganda still is - to this day.. People have always been manipulated throughout our history, and when evidence is presented to them of their false beliefs.. denial and anger is the usual reaction.. not the needed critical thinking & self analysis..

(34,368 posts)I have never met a Bernie bro. Met a lot of Bernie women, Bernie men, Bernie supporters of all races. In fact, most of the people attending many of the Bernie meetings I went to were women. Hmmmmmm.
Thanks for this. This one really used to upset me. I figured toward the end it was mostly because he made such an incredible showing being the one candidate who had no previous structure for a national campaign, no real national experience, no name recognition. It must have berned.

(91 posts)According to this poll, 89% of all respondents (which includes as many Republicans as Democrats) declared general support for Bernie Sanders. 95% declared general support for Hillary Clinton. And, impossibly, 61% declared support for Steve Bannon. I took these figures from the poll, itself, not from a news story.

(5,066 posts)it was useful to be able to smear bernie and all his supporters as racists and sexists.i was consently called one here during primary.

many under 45 bernie supporters were women and minority but this was ignored.
