🐦 Dec 2 at 6PM - Bernie Sanders to campaign in Akron - John S. Knight Center

By Doug Livingston

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders will campaign against the GOP tax plan in Akron this weekend.

The Independent, who visited the area in 2016 as a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination and again to support nominee Hilary Clinton, will be at the John S. Knight Center 6 p.m. Saturday after stopping in Dayton that morning. He’ll be in Pennsylvania on Sunday.

Sanders is hopping on the “Protecting Working Families Tour” organized by MoveOn.org and the Not One Penny coalition. The campaign follows recent trips to Ohio and other states where Sanders held rallies to convince undecided GOP lawmakers to reject the repeal of the Affordable Care Act, commonly known as Obamacare.

The Saturday event was not yet listed on the John S. Knight Center’s website Wednesday before noon. Tickets are available through Sander’s campaign website at https://go.berniesanders.com/page/event/detail/other/gpg5gv. Doors open at 4:30 p.m.
