Kamala Harris tied with Bernie Sanders as betting favorite for 2020 Dems

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) has surged into a tie with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) as the betting favorite among potential Democratic candidates to win the 2020 presidential election.

Betting site Oddshark lists President Trump as the runaway favorite to win in 2020, with betting odds of +140. However, Harris and Sanders each hold the second-best odds at +1,200, as of Aug. 7.

Sanders was previously the lone front-runner, and Harris had been tied with former Vice President Joe Biden for second-best odds.

Vice President Pence and Biden are now listed with third-best odds, at +1,400, followed by Democratic Sens. Elizabeth Warren (Mass.) and Cory Booker (N.J.) at +2,000 each.
Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) is listed at +2,500. The next Democrat on the list is former first lady Michelle Obama, at +4,000.

My concern is that we might get another newbie politically green candidate. He's got the proven power. Bannon said he was Trump's biggest concern and relieved when Clinton got it. People were okay with him bashing Hillary but bashing Bernie - well, that was another story. I will be concerned if Kamala is the candidate or any other politician who hasn't learned how to handle the Senate and House. And few will vote based on gender alone. Time will tell. I say these things not because I'm loyal to Bernie but because I want experience, proven character, and chutzpa to win for the good of the country.

Yes, I'll take any Democrat. I wonder how Bernie will handle the new rule that he can't change party just for a campaign? I doubt he'd run if that had to happen because he'd split the vote.
