SoP for the Martin O'Malley Group

This discussion thread is pinned.

The Martin O'Malley group serves as a safe haven to discuss and learn about Governor Martin O'Malley. As fellow Democrats, bashing other Democratic candidates is not acceptable. This is paramount to participation in this group.

This is the only group for candidates so far that states " As fellow Democrats, bashing other Democratic candidates is not acceptable."

Every group for candidates that plan on running, or are already running, should have the same message.

I am really looking forward to getting to know more about O'Malley and where he stands on the issues we face now, and in the future. Thank you to those who started this group.

There are pinned threads that shows his record, what he did as governor and what he stands for.

I asked for this group because I saw that many people have not heard of him, and I feel that he is a very viable candidate.

preferred candidate with bashing other candidates. Our main purpose (everyone on DU) should be to grow the Democratic party and elect more Democrats.

It is good to have a group that promotes a candidate, but a forum is for discussion, and the sharing of ideas and knowledge. Trolling should not be permitted, but if you only read positive messages, your missing something important. Free, informed, open, and respectful discussion is imperative.

I was wondering if it made sense to have a pinned topic for each of the first 4 caucus states so we could post news and updates. I come across stuff that doesn't warrant its own topic but are still good news about O'Malley's work in early states.

Thoughts?
