O'Malley announces Labor Day weekend Iowa swing.
Democratic presidential hopeful Martin O'Malley will speak at nine Iowa events over Labor Day weekend to cap off his "Rebuild the American Dream" tour, his campaign announced Tuesday.
The former Maryland governor will begin the three-day swing on Saturday, Sept. 5 with a townhall speech in Altoona hosted by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal employees. The swing will wrap up on Labor Day at meet-and-greets in eastern Iowa.

Altoona: 1 p.m., AFSCME Townhall at Prairie Meadows,1 Prairie Meadows Drive.
Ogden: 5 p.m., Boone County meet-and-greet, 519 S.W. Fourth St.
Des Moines: 7 p.m., Pints and Politics at Confluence Brewery, 1235 Thomas Beck Road.
SUNDAY:
Clinton: 1 p.m., Clinton Labor Congress Picnic at Eagle Point Park, E Deer Creek Road.
Tipton: 3 p.m., Cedar County meet-and-greet, 210 E. Sixth St.
Anamosa: 5 p.m., Jones County meet-and-greet at Lawrence Community Center, 600 E. Main St.
MONDAY:
Maquoketa: 10 a.m., Jackson County Labor Day meet and greet at Flapjacks Family Restaurant, 101 McKinsey Ave.
