Related: About this forumO'Malley brings his band back to Annapolis.
'The former Maryland governor and Democratic presidential candidate, will play two shows with his seven-piece Irish pub-rock band, O'Malley's March, at 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. June 10 at Rams Head On Stage. Tickets are $25. The band's previous performances at Rams Head have sold out.
O'Malley's March has played at Rams Head about every year for the last 15 years, said Laura Price, Rams Head's marketing director.
"People I feel like are curious to see what Martin O'Malley is like on stage," Price said. "You can't say a lot politicians lead their own band."
The band plays original songs and covers of the '80s Celtic punk act The Pogues. O'Malley sings and typically plays acoustic guitar. The former governor has been playing music most of his life and the band formed in 1988, according to the O'Malley's March website. He writes all of the band's original music.'

It is becoming very clear to me that this primary needed him, whether it realized it or not.

(2,798 posts)The CD is wonderful. The recording and mix are perfect. O'Malley sounds great! What a pleasant surprise! You can't get the real deal by watching YouTube.
What an amazing, positive, and uplifting surprise! It sounds so damn professional, and his voice really comes through.
I will give a full review later, but this is another O'Malley that people still don't know.
