Former Democratic presidential candidate Martin O'Malley plans N.H. trip
Former Maryland governor Martin OMalley has scheduled a trip to New Hampshire, where he might be laying the groundwork for a second presidential run.
OMalley, a Democrat, ran for president in 2016. But he dropped out of before New Hampshires first-in-the-nation presidential primary after a poor showing a week earlier in the Iowa Caucuses.
His April 23 visit to the Granite State marks his first trip there since the November general election. He is scheduled to attend house parties Salem and Bedford. He will also hold a town hall meeting for Democratic activists in Bow, according to an OMalley aide.
OMalley has visited Iowa twice recently. Last week he held a town hall in South Carolina, which holds a primary soon after New Hampshire on the presidential nominating calendar.
