Winner of tonight's debate?

They've all done well tonight, but I think Elizabeth Warren has managed to stay above the fray and deliver excellent answers each time. No squabbling with anyone, no overly rehearsed/cheesy lines, and very "presidential." There's still another 40 minutes to go, but I think she will be declared the winner of this debate.

It wasn't important who won. The candidates were given a platform and they all did well in using it to their advantage. I could get picky, but that serves no purpose. What we heard was the direction of the Democratic Party. They are listening to the public.

Think Klobuchar was strong, concerned Warren didn’t get a lot of time. I think Warren had great points when she spoke but I’m really interested to see how much time they each got.

Why, oh why, would he and his advisors decide that scripted attacks on Biden were the key to rising in the polls?

Also Buttigieg (for saying nothing to stand out of the crowd), Yang (amateur hour), and Beto (letting loose about issues that frustrate him vs. running seriously for president).

I didn't watch the debate, but when you get dragged on Colbert during his monologue, and by two subsequent guests, and get the crowd to gasp in shock when just showing a clip of what was said (not even with the fact check)... I'm thinking he had the worst night.

What a bunch of very highly qualified, compassionate people we have as candidates.

I would love for some of them to instead run for the Senate, we need to take the Senate.

...that Bernie was the only candidate who most forcefully addressed the major issues we're facing with new and innovated solutions...

...the group I was with found most of the questions soft and was looking for hard direct policies the candidates would offer to their problems (problems varied widely with the age in the group)...they were generally disappointed the debate wouldn't allow more interaction between the candidates over their individual proposals, ideas and positions...

...one thing stood out, they appreciated Bernie's sincerity and intensity...

Sep 2019

She sounded easier to listen to than the first two debates, she didn't get flustered by either the moderators nor the other top-tier candidates, and held her own. I was surprised that she didn't go after Joe Biden on economic issues, but she's probably saving that for the debate stage when there' s only her, Biden, Sanders, and maybe one or two others to do that.

It's still early, and there is a long road to go, plenty of time to deal with bankruptcy laws, etc.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
