Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumATTENTION - It was THE VOTERS, not the "establishment" that made this choice.
Prior to South Carolina all we heard was how the VP had no money, no donors, no coalition, etc. etc. and so on. Indeed, he WAS almost out of money. He was in deep trouble.
The "establishment" was still sitting on its hands when THE VOTERS decided our nominee would be Joe Biden.
That is all.

(16,146 posts)The vacuous nature of the accusation, and the unjustified burden to prove a negative it thrusts upon the speaker's interlocutor is the same.
If the Democratic Party "establishment" did anything unfair or underhanded, then BY ALL MEANS PLEASE name the people and name their actions.
The party is, after all, simply a collection of human beings -- there's no magic or mystery behind the curtain. It's just people. If any people did bad things, say specifically who did what, so we can react rationally and appropriately (severely even!), but don't waste our time with nonspecific fuzzy complaints. In the age of Trump doing likewise, it looks like a bad-faith complaint.

(27,255 posts)we won't have to anymore if this primary is over soon! Well, we'll hear it once in a while, but not all the time, and enough people make fun of it so that the person using it looks foolish.
