"My candidate has massive support even though they aren't doing the one thing to concretely support him: voting."

(9,706 posts)The massive support being a bunch of MAGAT's making loud noises at a rally. Explanation being that volumeters don't quite eclipse actual vote tallies.

I'll definitely keep this in mind next time somebody calls me an imbecile just because that's what the stupid chart says.

(304,721 posts)It looks like BS couldn't close the deal.. he had "massive" rallies but no "massive" GOTV. "Massive" money, too.
Mahalo, NYC Liberal Thanks for commenting on what MM said.
And, what's up with the massive Votes from POC and suburban women being in "bad faith"? That's some kind of nonsense.. really bad excuse for BS losing.
The Voters Knew Exactly What They Were Doing.

(2,657 posts)he said that he would create a massive turnout that would make Congress much bluer. The fact that the only increase in turnout seems to be for Biden means that Bernie's claims, both of a massive turnout increase and of getting his agenda passed were both false. Voters chose the more experienced, more reasonable, and more practical Biden over Bernie's "pie in the sky" ideas and his incorrect beliefs of a massive voter turnout increase.
Here's the scoop: if you can't even get *Democrats* to buy into your belief structure, how are you going to get Independents and Republicans to buy into them?

(11,461 posts)exists in the minds of his supporters and on social media platforms, primarily Twitter. Time and time again, people were reminded that the vast majority of Democratic voters did not tweet or read blogs and/or live online. For those that do, it's easy to get caught up in a bubble, a distorted reality where everything you believe is reinforced.
The Democratic base had a clear preference and it simply wasn't Bernie Sanders.

(12,279 posts)Fahrenheit 9/11 was good for highlighting Bush failures. That's an example of his bluster and hucksterism serving the progressive cause.
But his commentary over the past few years has not been helpful or useful at all. About the only time I encounter his name is in a DU post. I don't watch enough TV news to see him live, I guess.
