Democratic Primaries

I blame the DNC. THREE YEARS they had to stop what might happen again (contested convention/Bernie as victim-rigging-purity tests- bomb throwing- discord). Three years they could have fully vetted Bernie Sanders, or illuminate his inconsistencies -with all of the information out there, and yet here we are again.
Everytime the party starts building momentum, coming together for the greater good, building excitiement...theres Bernie. Waiting in the wings for some excuse or perceived slight to go scorched earth with our wounded candidate heading into the general. Three years-they should have stopped this a long time ago, and even now, they allow it to persist...the implication to me has always been that if Bernie feels he was done wrong or his feelings or ego is hurt, hell go 3rd party. I also blame the person who allowed him to change from I to D and run as a Democrat in the first place.
4 more years of Trump? Goodbye planet earth

(35,924 posts)That does not translate into very much in a general election. His followers want him to continue in order to bilk his followers out of campaign cash.

(1,089 posts)then they'd be guilty of the very thing that Bernie has falsely accused them of.
Better to let the voters decide, as messy and tedious as it is.
