Sanders Offers Biden A Path To Win Over His Movement

From Arnie Seipel at NPR:

Sanders promised to show up at the debate on Sunday in Arizona to face Biden one-on-one, and basically offered him a cheat sheet: "Let me be very frank as to the questions that I will be asking Joe."

Sanders listed off issues central to his campaign, which he says are very important to younger progressives: health care costs, climate change, income inequality, student debt, racial disparities in criminal justice, immigration and housing affordability.

So why tip Biden off to how you're going to challenge him on Sunday? Maybe Bernie Sanders wants Joe Biden to succeed.

I sure hope he does... but I'm also seeing a lot of "Bernie or Bust" rhetoric coming from his supporters. This piece does offer me some hope that there might be a way for Bernie to talk down his die-hard supporters and for Biden to offer substantive policies to allay the genuine concerns progressives might have on vital issues.

1. He is offering substantive policies on all of the above. Good that he has a chance to give them

Bernie is running very negative ads. No one should give him the benefit of doubt. His intention are the same ones that were in 2016.

Who else is so entltled that they get their clock cleaned in a race and their response is to give homework to the winner?

The man is just ridiculous.

And by the way, his dishonest, out of context social security ad is going to coat us votes in the general.

He really needs to go away.

That's pretty damned arrogant for anyone to just presume that they can take charge and start asking questions.

Who does he think he is? Why does he think he's entitled? I'm so sick of his games.

I'm sick of him. And based on how the voting and polls are going... it looks like AMERICA IS SICK OF BERNIE TOO!!

How about some healing words. How about bringing us together. I look forward to seeing our candidates coming together on the issues and my dream is that they forge an agreement after the debate and join forces. This is no time for angry words folks.

He’s been spouting his “questions” for weeks.

But he coaches it, “Joe will have to answer for this” and “Joe will have to answer for that.” What a load of hogwash.

Joe doesn’t have to answer anything by demand of Bernie.

I want to know how soon after Bernie loses will it take him to turn Independent again.

Not soon enough for me.
