than to live with the consequences of GOPee policies.

Just think--if students a few decades ago had studied the policy positions and voting records of politicians back then, they and the current generation of students wouldn't be facing mountains of student loan debt.

How much more time does it take them to work to pay off those loans vs. a few hours to study the issues and vote?

it's not only prioritizing fun over taking the time to vote. It's whether one should be more careful to attend places with so many people packed together. Even if the prevalence of the disease isn't high or even noteworthy there yet, why not wait how things develop before you possibly become a carrier and not only endanger yourself but also your family and older people around you.
