(12,288 posts)Bernie and Biden represent different approaches to achieve the same ends in not all cases, but many. Bernie wants to go further than Biden, while Biden is more moderate in his approach. But what they have in common is making life better and easier for the average person in America.
I think it's healthy to air these issues. It won't be disrupted by someone who just wants to get in a pot shot or soundbite.
One of Biden's strengths is that he listens to people and isn't afraid to adapt his approach. That has been proven out with his embracing of Warren's bankruptcy policy proposal.

(9,766 posts)Given that it serves the interest of slowing down the pandemic by staying home more of the time, I'll be right here taking in the debate. Biden has a sizable delegate lead and the momentum to go along with it. It's time to move forward with the nomination process, unite behind the winner, and focus on task #1 which is defeating Trump come November and taking the Senate. Putting the campaign in mothballs while taking a passive disinterested approach going forward at this point helps no one but Trump. The COVID-19 crisis is taking the spotlight for good reason, but future stakes are too high to step back from what could very well be the most consequential election in our lifetimes.
