I think it will be Amy K.

Biden mentioned picking someone on the debate stage in an interview with Lawrence O'Donnell

He seems to have a friendship with Amy.

Amy never really attacked Joe.

Amy brings the rust belt.

Amy is younger than Elizabeth.

What say yee?

If I were to vote in a presidential

Joe Biden

Last thing we need is a contrived ticket and problems with mixed signals. That places us on the defensive too often.

Hillary made the mistake of getting cute trying to expand the playing field instead of locking down what we really need. This time we really need those suburban female swing voters. Amy helps considerably in that regard. It's true she doesn't help with any single state. She helps with all of them.

I hope we aren't stupid enough to believe those current polls with Biden ahead 6-9 points nationally. That's the type of garbage that Rachel Maddow would fall for. Ousting an incumbent is extraordinarily difficult. If we win this race it will be by an eyelash. All focus should be on the pivotal swing states and the swing demographics that decide them.

First, the VP nominee doesn’t have to be one of the former candidates.

As far as Klobuchar, she doesn’t really enhance the ticket. She doesn’t put a swing state in play. She doesn’t help unify the two wings of the party.

There are several better choices most of whom didn’t run for President.

47. The election dynamics make it Amy
Mon Mar 16, 2020, 05:13 AM
Mar 2020

I do not know what election most people here have been watching. Biden was not a strong front runner during the campaign, but the Idea of Biden was. For all intents and purposes the entire nomination campaign was a search for an alternative to Biden and Bernie.

By fall it was clear that the party was not searching for a Bridge candidate and nobody was going to be able the run down the middle.

Why? Because it all boiled down to who could beat Trump. Excite the Base or Grab the Swing.

Swing won and with good reason, looking at the primaries from Super Tuesday on it is clear that the surge is in the swing vote that is poised to monumentally reject Trump. Unlike the excite the base, grab the swing is a zero sum game. A vote for Biden there is a vote that Trump cannot get. In that game Klobuchar would be far and away the best choice.

You risk alienated the black vote with the selection of Amy, lets not forget she received 0% of the black vote in South Carolina after the Black Lives Matter protest at her rally. I think she would be a longshot to be the VP, because of the possible alienation of the black voting base. I wouldn't rank her i nthe top 10 choices.
