To me, this is the reason why Bernie keeps running but may stop

When asked how the candidates are protecting themselves from covid, this what he said:

Bernie: I love doing rallies and we bring many thousands of people out to our rallies. I enjoy it very much.

I think without the energy of the crowd, he just isn't as motivated. I'm not sure he wants to run, I think he just loves to campaign. If governing was so important to him, he wouldn't have such a dismal voting record. It's dismal because he is always campaigning!

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

At the debate his "whoop-whoop" applause lines from his worn out stump speech ended up falling flat without a studio audience there to prop him up.

If governing was so important to him, he wouldn't have such a dismal voting record.
In fact, the often repeated line that "Bernie votes with the Democrats 99.9% of the time" is a complete myth. It's closer to 80% if you round-up.

And don't get me started on his lack of legislative accomplishments. He'd probably have been able to do more and get more cooperation from his colleagues if he wasn't always lying and attacking the Democratic party by calling us "corrupt" and "feeble" and "ideologically bankrupt". That's no way to win friends and build coalitions.

But I believe sometimes measures are necessary to bail out those who would show no solidarity to you or me because it affects not just them but all of us. A bailout won't just be for the giants like Amazon but also all those who provide the essentials and also the jobs. I already see it with my mother company who is discussing switching to part time because they already feel the effects of more business customers having problems to pay their bills.

Those rallies of adorning supporters give him that, so of course he loves them.

We all like it when our beliefs and ideas get acclamation from a crowd. That's only human. However, when you continue doing things that lead to nowhere, just to obtain affirmation, you move into a different sphere, really.

All politicians have big egos. It's a requirement for the job, really. Some, however, are politicians primarily to get strokes from the crowd. That's dangerous to society, as we've seen from Trump.
