Berniecrat running against DWS in Florida beats up on Pelosi's COVID-19 legislation (email)
Dear Christian,
Last Friday night, House Leadership took a victory lap for passing legislation to address the growing Coronavirus pandemic which included a temporary provision for 10 paid sick days for workers facing the COVID-19 health care crisis.
However, this legislation falls drastically short.
Only 20% of American workers would be guaranteed paid sick leave since our nations largest employers like Walmart, McDonalds and other mega-corporations with 500 or more employees would be given exemption from this requirement.
My opponent, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, made unbelievable compromises by voting for this bill in order to gain partisan support by putting corporate profits over the health and well being of every day American workers and their families!
