Coronavirus: Ohio Supreme Court allows delay to primary election

Columbus Dispatch

For real this time: There is no Ohio primary Tuesday.

Early Tuesday, the Ohio Supreme Court denied a legal challenge to the state delaying the primary. A candidate in Wood County filed the action alleging the delay of the primary violated election laws.

Only four justices participated in the ruling, which was issued without an opinion.

The ruling capped a chaotic 12 hours in which it appeared the election was off, back on, and then off again.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

DeWine didn't have the authority to postpone the election. The polls were ordered to be closed anyway.
If DeWine doesn't have the authority to postpone the election, what is the mechanism it would be moved to a later date?

As opposed to DeWine simply acting in defiance of the initial court ruling. Defying a court ruling, even with the health concerns, was a big no-go for me.

We've had enough lawlessness in the country to last a lifetime.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
