Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumFlorida votes today. Fingers crossed.
They have changed over a dozen polling locations in my county alone (Broward) to protect seniors from coronavirus so we shall see what turn out is like today. The good news is that there have been over 11,000 MORE mail in ballots this time than during 2016 election. It looks like early voting numbers are down from the last time, but we will see what happens today. 9 hours and 50 more minutes to go and 219 delegates to get!

(31,261 posts)Maybe he saw that a ton of money was spent in Florida by the major candidates, even though Florida was a little back in the pack this cycle when compared to the last cycle (which saw the candidate's campaigning across the state in the big SEC primary that launched Hillary toward victory.
My estimate is DeSantis appears to be trying to mostly keep Trump at arm's length, but not offend that psycho (though letting voting take place may offend Trump). DeSantis may be playing a longer term game, like getting re-elected governor of Florida and then taking his chances for president in 2024 or 2028. The only electoral issues that he gets jacked about are the ones that may threaten his chances , like some felons getting the right to vote.
