Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumI voted in AZ this morning.
It was REALLY busy!!
I was super impressed, as I live in a very red area, and usually Dem primaries are pretty lean.
I was super excited to see so many people turning out! We do have a closed primary, so it was only Dems that there there.
Maybe my area is starting to be a little more purple?

(49,725 posts)I saw something briefly on MSNBC about Arizona and some voters were having a hard time finding the polling place where they were suppose to vote.

(1,089 posts)Can't report on how busy it is up in northern AZ because my partner dropped my mail-in ballot off last night, but she said there were pollworkers rehearsing or practicing so hopefully things are going smoothly.
I think folks are gonna be very surprised at how Arizona votes in November...and my gut tells me it isn't even gonna be as close as many people think. Might be wishful thinking on my part so we'll have to wait and see but I'll be very disappointed and maybe a little shocked if Biden doesn't win in at least a squeaker if not a solid victory.

Nice not to be an isolated island any more...wasn't like that a decade or so ago.

(7,962 posts)I think you are right. My area won't go blue or even purple, but I think the rest of the state will go for Biden and Kelly, maybe by solid margins. BTW, I think it's funny that our disgusting pig of a rep, Gosar, lives in Flagstaff even though it's not his district and is a liberal bastion.

(1,089 posts)Gosar got a good deal on Renzi's house after Rick went to prison? Gotta love AZ CD1...LOL. But I think we're safely blue here for a while when it comes to the House after those two characters.
