organizations. His record is not the most conservative of the conservative Dems their districts send to congress, but solidly in the blue dog group, I think officially numbering 27 out of our 235 total this session. In 2018 he barely beat challenger Marie Newman, who is an Emily's List candidate.

Go, Marie!

Emily's List WHAT WE DO: Seeking to put women into office who can make significant contributions to education, health care, voting rights, and economic equality, we have systematically defined a strategic approach to winning elections that drive progressive change.

Only 8 more precincts left to count. Unclear how many absentee/mail in ballots are left, but turnout of ~101K is already beating 2018's of ~95K.

2018 campaign where he viciously smeared Newman as a Holocaust denier and anti- Catholic. Newman once again had great endorsements this time around including EMILY's List again.

So happy to see this anti-LGBTQ bigot go down. He is a rabid pro lifer, voted against the ACA, refused to endorse Obama, anti Dreamer, etc etc as well.

Now hopefully we can get the even worse Henry Cuellar out in 2022 by running a decent centre left candidate and not a far left one like Cisneros (it still was close).

Great news though!!
